If you’re a fan of Japanese food, then you’ll be pleased to know that Ibiza is home to a number of fantastic restaurants. All serving some of the best, and most flavoursome meals on the island.
Whether you’re into your miso nikomi udon, or Unagi, with surrounded by the famous sticky rice. You’ll find the perfect choice for you here, whatever your budget.
In this blog we’re featuring some of the best East-Asian spots to visit when you’re over.
Sushimi – San Antonio
Located on the west coast of Ibiza is Sushimi. A wonderful little restaurant offering a selection of tasty dishes.
Including a selection of delicacies, from Sushi, Wakame salads, tuna tartare a much more.
The quality of food here is exceptionally good, along with the price.
It’s perfect if you’re on a budget, or just fancy a lovely dinner out, in a cute restaurant. The staff are warm and welcoming, and you can see the chefs preparing your order from their open kitchen.
Highly recommended.
Nagai – San Juan
The ideal place for date night, or a group dinner with friends and family.
Nagai is co-owned by award winning chef Reina Nagai.
Born in Nagoya (Japan), Reina’s passion for food first began from a very young age. Having been raised spending most of her time in her family-owned restaurant. Her love for her craft bought her to open Nagai in 2011. And the rest as they say, is history.
Creating a wide selection of stunning plates from Konyaku noodles to Tom Kha prawns and so much more.
It’s also home to a number of events. Including both indoor and outdoor parties, with DJs and live music.
Bambuddha – Santa Eulalia
Another stunning venue, this time situated on the east coast.
Bambuddha is a pan-Asian dining extravaganza, with a lot of Japanese influences incorporated too.
We’d say that it’s on the higher-end of the budget, but it’s most certainly an experience that’s worth every cent.
Enjoy mouthwatering options, including yellowtail Sashimi with plum sauce. Or maybe try their delicious and organic, mini-Wagyu burgers. There’s a lot to offer here, including tasting menus.
They focus on the Asian dining-concept of sharing. Encouraging guests to communicate and ‘get stuck in’.
Unami Sushi & Bentō – San Jordi
High quality, excellent dining in fresh and modern surroundings.
Unami is owned by Mario and Carlos. Two expectably talented chefs from Valencia.
Both with exciting and long professional careers in Japanese cuisine, they have since together created a little slice of gastronomic-heaven.
With dishes such as Sashimi salad, catch of the day Uzuzukuri and plenty more fabulous choices to pick from.
A favourite for both locals, and those in the know of where’s good to go to eat.
Kanpai – Portinatx
If you’re staying near the north of the island, then Kanpai is a must visit. With raving reviews, this wonderful restaurant is a true hidden gem.
Both locals and visitors are continuously complimentary about the excellent quality of the food here. It’s fresh, delicious and served with style!
Taking great pride in their business, the staff are attentive and create an atmosphere to remember.
