Ibiza on a budget? It can be done!

There’s been a rumour flying around for years that you need thousands of euros spending money, to enjoy a good holiday here in Ibiza.

That actually couldn’t be further from the truth.

Whilst the drinks in the main clubs aren’t the cheapest, and some restaurants are a little more on the expensive side, that doesn’t mean you can’t have the time of your life here without breaking the bank.

You can experience the magic of the white the the same as everyone else, without having to phone your mum and dad for a loan after one night, and here’s how….

Book drinks packages for the clubs in advance

Yes that’s right, even the super clubs offer a slight discount on drinks if you pay in advance. Venues such as Amnesia and Hï offer savings of up to 30% if you buy online beforehand, leaving you more money to spend on a well deserved hangover breakfast in the morning. You can also get drinks packages in a range of bars near the big clubs. Can’t go wrong with that can you?

Hop on the Disco Bus!

Now we’re back to a normal summer, the money saving ‘Disco Bus‘ has returned once again. This handy little option will allow you to head to and from the main resorts, such as San Antonio and Playa d’en Bossa, and head straight to the big parties from 3-4€ each way! This will save you a fortune on taxis, and they run right through until closing time.

Sunset on the rocks for favor

Grab yourselves a few drinks from the supermarket, and head down to the rocks in San Antonio (or the Bay) in the evening. The sunsets here are magical. You’ll also be able to mingle with fellow tourists (and locals), who are all here to enjoy the world-famous views as night falls. You’ll also get to hear the DJs in the local bars playing all your favourite tunes, without having to spend loads for the privilege.

Pre-drinkies anyone?

If you’re the sort of person who needs a bit of fuel before heading to the dance floor, then why not start at a local bar beforehand, and have a few cheeky drinks to calm the pre-rave nerves? If you are in Bossa then check out Tantra for a great pre-party atmosphere, and fairly priced drinks for such a popular location. Staying in San Antonio? Then we can recommend Rio, Cee Cee or Hush, all within close proximity of each other.

Where to rest your weary head?

Whilst the five star hotels look appealing and offer a service that’s often second to none, they can also set you back quite a bit financially. There’s plenty of low-cost hotels and hostels dotted all over the island to choose from instead though.

If you’re not a fan of the word -‘hostel’ then fear not. The ones here are the same as hotels. They just often mean that they’re cheaper in price, and don’t always have a pool.

However, you can easily use a local hotel pool, normally for free. Just buy a drink or two from the bar! If you like the sound of sharing with others, and want to make new friends then check out Amistat Beach Hostel in San Antonio. A great vibe and pretty cheap too!

So there you have it, just a few little tips to ensure you get the full Ibiza experience, all for a lot less that you expected.

Enjoy!
