Summer 2022 is nearly here, and it’s starting to feel like a normal season again already.
With tourists flocking in by the droves, the island is once again coming alive and gearing up for what we expect to be, the best year we’ve had in what feels like, forever.
This weekend we see the return of the highly anticipated opening parties, with headlining acts gracing the stages at some the biggest, and best parties to date.
Whether you’re into your deep, dark bass-lines, or your melodic, hand swaying vibes, there’s an event to cater to each and every clubber heading to the White Isle this year.
Defected opening Party – Eden
This Friday brings a solid selection of nights (and days) to the island, including the mighty Defected Records making a comeback to Eden in San Antonio. With world-class DJs behind the decks, such as Hannah Wants, Low Steppa and Defected’s head honcho, Simon Dunmore.
Pyramid Opening Party – Amensia
Amnesia are also hosting a pre-season warm up party with Pyramid taking over the super-club. The line-up for this night (which starts from 7pm) is most definitely one to be applauded.
With a stellar list of producers and DJs playing on the night, from Luciano, Richy Ahmed, Ben Klock, East End Dubs and more. If you’ve got the stamina to hit up a few of the opening parties on the night, then this one should definitely be on the list.
Also on Friday, highly acclaimed DJ, Solomun will be back at Pacha ‘all night long’ for the clubs opening party in Ibiza Town. Expect the unexpected with his enthusiastic mixing skills, ear-tingling beats and of course, the famous Pacha dancers to entertain you throughout the duration of the night.
Poolside Sessions – O Beach
If you’re looking for an early start to the day then O Beach will be hosting their second poolside sessions party for 2022, from 1pm. This day-time venue always delivers in terms of production and entertainment, so you’re sure to be WOW’d from the second you arrive. Resident DJs Tom Crane and Grant Collins will be spinning all the hottest tracks on the day, plus more TBA.
IMS – Dalt Vila
Last but not least for the 29th, is one of the best (and most talked about) events in Ibiza, the party that gets you geared up for a night of further frockling in the clubs, yes that’s right, IMS is back! Situated at the top of Dalt Vila in the old town, the International Music Summit has brought the best of the best to the stage this year, with sets from the head of Hot Creations, Jamie Jones, going B2B with The Blessed Madonna, Joy Orbison B2B with sibling duo Overmono for sunset, Patrick Topping and more.
Better Together – Hï Ibiza
On Saturday the celebrations continue with the ‘Better Together’ opening parties at Hï & Ushuaïa. The Line-up for this is astronomical, with artists from the likes of Adam Beyer, Black Coffee, Charlotte De Witte, Damian Lazarus , The Martinez Brothers, Kölsch, Artbat, Mathame and Paul Kalkbrenner (live set). The two parties will be bringing the world-famous venues back to life for another summer once again.
Defected Festival – Dalt Vila
Defected will also be hosting their festival at Dalt Vila on Saturday, which is set to be a knockout event, expect to hear tunes from Ibiza legends Bob Sinclar, Louie Vega, Simon Dunmore, Danny Tenaglia, Honey Dijon and more!
Sunshine, drinks, the best music in the world and hopefully, a lot of sunshine!
Defected/Classic Music Company – Octan
If you fancy following the vibe afterwards, then you can always head over to Octan in Playa den Bossa for ‘Defected Classic Music Company’, where island favourites Melon Bomb will be spinning the beats alongside a host of other greats artists.
Sunday may be a day of rest for some, but for those die-hard clubbers the party continues on May Day, with some huge events continuing across the island.
Defected – Amnesia
Defected head over to Amnesia from 11.59pm for their mega finale with Dumore’s protege Sam Divine spinning your favourite tunes, alongside Ferreck Dawn, the Mambo Brothers, Male, Ibiza-born Manu Gonzalez, the Dunmore Brothers and more TBA.
Loco Dice – Pacha
Want to stick around Ibiza Town that evening? No problem! Why not get yourself over to Pacha for Loco Dice to take you through til sunrise?
Es Paradis – Ibiza
Es Paradis (one of the most beautiful clubs in the world) are also having their official opening party over in San Antonio, and you can expect some seriously uplifting tracks from a range of DJs, including Danny O, Felix Da Funk (a house hold name in the dance industry) and many more.
