Where to watch the Sant Bartomeu Fireworks from

The people of Ibiza love a celebration.

It’s a fantastic excuse to spend time with your ‘faves’, and take-in everything that’s on offer to you.

This August the 24th sees the return of the Sant Bartomeu fireworks in San Antonio. A fun-packed event, available to all from midnight.

Here’s just a few of the many fantastic places you can watch it from…

Villa Mercedes

A quaint, spacious and romantic venue overlooking the harbour. This traditional Ibicencan Villa which was built in 1901 is a great choice for diners, especially those seeking something a little more relaxed and authentic. Owned by The Mambo Group, the attractive restaurant with alfresco-dining is a great spot to watch the array of colours flashing in the night sky. We recommended booking in advance though, as it’s a popular choice for many. View their menu here.

S’Arenal beach

If you want to be ‘in the thick of it’, then why not grab a few drinks & head for S’Arenal early to get a good spot? It’ll be busy, but the vibe is always lively, and it’s a good choice for those looking to make the most of the festivities on a budget.

Rio

We all love Rio, and their roof top bar is the perfect place to watch the fireworks from. With nightly music, delicious food and a varied cocktail list, this roomy, three-floor venue offers spot-on views for the occasion.

Linekers

Lively party-haunt Linekers is a pretty good choice for the evening. Get yourself a table on the terrace, and enjoy a night of drinks and sky-lit illuminations from the comfort of your seat. This bar has a buzzing atmosphere, and you can head inside to dance the night away afterwards too!

Sa Talaia

If you’re after something totally different and have a car at hand, then why not head up to Sa Talaia? The highest mountain on the island has breathtaking, panoramic views, and is only a 20 minute drive from San Antonio. We’d only recommend this for experienced drivers, and those who are confident driving at night. It’s one of the best places to visit to watch the sunset/sunrise from too.

Don’t forget to add the date to your diary, Wednesday 24th August, in San Antonio.
