Love the Underground Mikaela & Friends – new flavour to the Ibiza party mix

The label has recently announced its new concept, Mikaela & Friends, an exciting summer programme in Ibiza this season at one of the island’s best kept venues; Tox at Destino.

Last night was the opening party at Tox in Destino and with a capacity of just 350, the venue is renowned by those who know, for its killer sound and intimate party vibe.

Israeli mainstay Shlomi Aber joined Mikaela at the opening with the techno pioneer headlining the opening night along with Shaded, from SCI+Tec and finally BEC, who has been making waves across Europe with her rolling tech house style.

With the series running for 16 consecutive weeks between Saturday 13th June and Saturday 26th September, we’ve got a feeling this new party will be the talk of the island as Paranoid London will be bringing their dusty analog sounds to Tox for an eagerly anticipated live set on the 20th of June. Paola Polleto on the 1st of August and PIrupa on the 15th of August are just a few of the names released for this summer with the label keeping hush hush about the line up for the season.

Mikalea  kick-started her season on the island with a Love the Underground Records warm up party at Sankeys on June 3rd with Yaya, Stacey Pullen, Lilith and Artslaves which proved to be a great success giving the island a taste for what is to come from this new party this season.

Born out of an unconditional love for the underground echelons of the electronic music scene, Love the Underground Records embodies an innate affection and passion, for not only the music, but also the environment and memoirs which are cultivated through the music.

A huge coup for the label will be when they present their first 2015 Label Showcase during Barcelona’s infamous OFF Week. Set in one of the city’s top venues, UNDER Club, Sunday 21st of June will see the London imprint throwing what is set to be one of the standout parties of this year’s eagerly anticipated OFF Week edition.

The programme boasts some of the finest current female pioneers, with Nicole Moudaber, Tania Vulcano and Lilith, joining label founder and Love The Underground Records curator Mikaela.
