The island has evolved over recent years, in terms of dining options for the meat-free crowd.
Veganism has flourished throughout the world, and has become a preferred lifestyle choice for many.
Social media has played a huge part in convincing people to go meat and dairy free, with many others choosing to follow suit since.
Previously, there were a serious lack of restaurants on the island that catered to vegans. But with growing demand, we’ve seen a solid number of eateries emerge since. Ones that solely prepare plant based meals to diners.
Plus, it’s encouraged other restauranteurs re-think their menu options too, in terms of wider availability for those who don’t favour the alternatives.
In this blog we’re saving you the time traipsing around, looking for the best places to get good food, with that green V approval.
Es Figueral
Boasting a 100% vegan & healthy menu, Es Figueral is located in the main gastronomic hub of Ibiza, Santa Eulalia. With two terraces and inside dining, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy a range of dishes. Including their signature pastas, falafel salads and plant-based, hearty burgers. The restaurant also has a selection of freshly made juices and smoothies to choose from. Plus, they make their own kombucha on site too!
Wild Beets
This botanical restaurant in Santa Gertrudis offers a stunning range of both vegan and vegetarian options. Focusing on seasonal produce, and set in laid-back surroundings. The fresh and organic menu includes risotto cannelloni, gluten free brownies, superfood salad and more.
Junglebowls
A fun and flavoursome hot-spot in Ibiza Town, with influences from Japan and Hawaii influences. Whilst they’re not 100% meat-free, you won’t be short on choice. From tasty tofu bao buns, to ‘Vegan Love‘ Poké bowls. Plus lots of other tasty choices. Yummy!
Simbiosis
Another one for Ibiza Town, and one of the more established on the island. After having started their journey in 2008, Simbioises have created a vegan-paradise. On the menu this summer you can choose from a wide variety of options. From pumpkin, kimchi and beetroot summer rolls, to portobello shiitake or seaweed ceviche.
