Aragma by Tapas – The most talked about new restaurant in San Antonio

There’s one thing that’s been lacking in San Antonio over the years.

And that’s a real Greek restaurant.

We’re talking about excellent quality, authentic and delicious dishes. Beautiful cocktails and gorgeous decor to match.

Thankfully, the team behind the highly popular ‘Tapas‘ restaurant in Sant Antoni de Portmany have come to the rescue.

This glorious new location sits just next to the town’s harbour. With spacious indoor and outdoor dining available.

And the guys behind it have nailed the blend of GreekMediterranean tapas-fusion excellence. Which has brought their vision to life for summer 2024.

The newly renovated venue has been completely transformed into a warm and inviting space.

With comfortable, plush seating, mood lighting and that ever-welcomed extensive wine cabinet to match.

After months of planning, designing and some very hard labour over the cooler months, Aragma finally opened in June.

If you’ve ever been to Tapas before, then you’ll know of the level of quality and service you’d receive during your visit.

And because of that, there was never any doubt that their new ‘baby’ would be nothing short of successful.

Professional restaurateurs, and husband and wife duo Tony and Bex have created something truly special here.

Bringing the sumptuous flavours of Greece to the West Coast of Ibiza. With the unwavering support of their exceptional team.

The name translated into English means ‘the act of chilling‘.

It’s a place to relax, unwind and enjoy wonderfully fresh koizína (cuisine). Which is lovingly prepared by Executive Head Chef Alex, who’s originally from Athens.

He prides himself on his menu. One which has allowed him to explore his culinary expertise from his motherland, in great depth.

The talented creative also serves a fusion of other delectable dishes from the Med. Which has something to suit every palate.

ARAGMA – THE ACT OF CHILLING

Keeping in theme with their Tapas restaurant, Tony and Bex offer a variety of sharing plates for everyone to enjoy. All exceptionally moorish, and a great conversation starter.

From hot and cold mezze including traditional tzatziki, Kalamata olives and pita bread.

Mezze

To warm seafood kirtharoto, that consists of orzo pasta. Cooked as a risotto with prawns, octopus, clams and finished with parmesan.

If you’re a carnivore then we highly recommend the marinated lamb leg chops. Served with greek yoghurt and sambal oelek. Or even the braised beef shank, with a smoked aubergine puree.

A melt-in-the-mouth experience, to be perfectly honest.

Vegans can enjoy a beautiful range of dishes from vegetable gyros tacos, roasted sweet potato, or avocado and fig salad. Amongst so many other stunning delights.

Their broiled halloumi which is served with rocket and a sweet fig marmalade is a must-try too.

We’d recommend ordering one of these each, because you won’t want to share.

Heavenly Halloumi

To be honest, each and every dish on the menu is pretty impressive.

With each bite you’re transported into a world of sunshine, blue skies and that glorious summer breeze.

Well, you get that anyway here on the island, but you know what we mean. Simply divine.

Aragma has a great choice of drinks to choose from. Such as the much-loved favourite Greek beer Mythos, and Xinomavro rosé wine.

The menu has a great mix of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to ponder over.

Just About Sangria‘ is a fruity mocktail of fresh peach, orange, apple and non-alcoholic cava. Plus just the right amount of non-alcoholic peach ‘liqueur’ added in for good measure. Perfection.

If you fancy a little tipple then the ‘Dionysus‘ cocktail of metaxa, spiced rum and almond is very popular too.

There’s so much to love about this place. From the fantastic, attentive staff, wonderful owners, the location and of course, the fabulous fare.

Aragma is a must visit when you’re on the island. And it’ll be a visit well spent, we can certainly guarantee that.
