Ibiza is full of wonderful places to eat.
From high end, five star dining, to pocket-friendly options that suit those on a budget.
Today we’re bringing you our 6 favourite restaurants in San Antonio, and San Antonio Bay.
These spots are exceptionally fantastic, and very reasonable in price considering the high standard of food and service received.
This spacious and welcoming home-from-home restaurant serves mouthwatering tapas dishes from around the world, hearty mains and the best, traditional Sunday roasts this side of the island. The outside dining area is spacious, and has a large pool to keep the kids (and adults) happy during those hot summer afternoons. Owners Glyn & Glyn, front-of-house Alice & co are pretty much a family, having worked together since the very start of their first Relish days, they’re close knit, and treat the customers the same as they would their own. Highly recommended and worth a visit. The cocktails are pretty good too!
Family run, authentic-Spanish restaurant Pyrenees hasn’t changed its menu over the years, you know why? Because it has always been popular. From traditional Paella, to the best alioli and freshly chargrilled meats, this low-key eatery is underrated, yet talked about lovingly by those who visit, residents and tourists alike. They’ve always been fair on price and high on service, and you’ll always leave with your belly full and a smile on your face.
There’s burgers and then there’s BURGERS. You can either smash it or you can’t, and Johnnys have most definitely smashed the art of perfect burger making. Their terrace is continuously packed with returning customers and happy holiday makers, and their reviews are always positive online. We obviously love good food, but good staff is always a massive bonus, and this place offers both in abundance. Excellent service, family friendly prices, and food so good that you’ll ask for extra to take away at the end of the night.
Tony and Becky, plus their amazing team have worked extremely hard over the years to make Tapas into what it is today, a gorgeous (newly refurbished), sanctuary for alfresco dining (plus indoor space) during the season. Their dishes are varied, offering something for all. From delectable vegan, vegetarian, fish and meat options cooked with love, to seriously moorish desserts that you’ll always find room for. Their cocktail selection caters for all palates, from ‘sin-alcohol (mocktails) to liqueur-packed infusions with the perfect mixer to enjoy. Their terrace feels like a home away from home, and they’ll always ensure that you have the best experience whilst you are there.
If you’re after a tasty pick me up before (or after) a big night out, then Ibiza Rocks is where it’s at. Located along the beach front on the promenade in San Antonio, this world renowned venue (formally Bar M *Manumission Bar*) offers some seriously flavoursome fare to keep you in the land of the living, for that little bit longer. They have a range of dishes available, but our favourite has to be their chicken pita, coleslaw and sides (we normally choose them all). With nightly music during the summer months from a range of performers including local resident Roberto Campoli, you’re sure to get the best of both worlds, from a moorish-munch to musical marvellousness.
Situated along the harbour in San Antonio, Rio has long served as the go-to spot for pre parties, and those seeking a vibrant dining experience in one spot. Their rooftop restaurant and bar offers instagram-worthy views, and freshly cooked food on their spacious terrace. The staff are always up for a chat with their guests, and the music is guaranteed to make you want to get up and dance about during your visit. Overlooking the harbour, Rio is the perfect location for date nights and group bookings.
