Located right on south-east tip of the island. Just 10 minutes away from Ibiza Airport, you’ll find the buzzing seasonal resort of Playa d’en Bossa.
It’s packed with so many things to do in the summer time, and offers both a relaxing, or fun-filled escape. Depending on your preference.
From tranquil days spent enjoying room service and rooftop private jacuzzis, to dancing the night away at the best parties in the world.
There’s so many reasons you should book Playa d’en Bossa for your Ibiza break this year.
Here’s 5 of them.
The Beach
Playa d’en Bossa is home to the longest stretch of beach on the island. With golden sands and crystal-blue seas, it’s no wonder why it’s so popular. Having also been home to one of the best beach-party spots for over 40 years, providing travellers with a hedonistic experience and day dancing til sunrise. It was the place to meet a whole range of characters, the weird, whacky and wonderful. All with one thing in common, their love of music. Bora Bora beach club closed last year, after a prosperous long-stint on the island. The amazing memories however live on, and it is still a great beach to spend the day on in the sun. Still busy, and still enjoyable! Its famous past has people returning each year, all in search of that unmistakable Balearic-vibe.
As we mentioned, it’s the longest one on the island. So you’ll come across many amazing spots to lay your towel.
From the lively to the more secluded.
The walk is worth every second.
The Bars
The resort comes alive during the summer months. With a number of bars opening their doors, to welcome holiday makers in search of a good time. Start the evening off with a few drinks at one of the many buzzing venues. If you’re a solo traveller, it’s also a great opportunity to meet others looking to party too. The bars here are always busy, offering nightclub vibes and great drinks deals. One of our favourite venues in the area is Tantra. A top night out if you want to catch some of the big named DJs before the parties, or dance to the islands resident DJs, all with some serious skills on the decks.
The Clubs
There’s not doubt that most people want to visit the clubs whilst they’re here. And why not? We are the clubbing capital after all! With world-famous venues steeped in musical history, what’s not to love? The venue that was voted the BEST CLUB IN THE WORLD (two years in a row) is right on your doorstep too.
Hï (formally the legendary Space club) not only offers nights with some of the hottest artists on the planet (FISHER, David Guetta, Tale of Us, Black Coffee etc). It also provides you with one of the best light and lazer productions, plus sound systems you’ve ever experienced. There is never a quiet night at Hï.
If you’re into your urban music then head to SWAG, which is also close by!
The Beach Clubs
Hï‘s little sister venue is located just short walk along the road. Ushuaïa Beach Hotel is the place to be if you want to experience super-club vibes, in open air.
We say ‘little’, but with a capacity of 7000, it’s really not that small. A whole catalog of famous faces have graced the stage here, since they opened in 2011.
From techno king Adam Beyer, Armin van Buuren, Andrea Oliva, Calvin Harris and many more. With events such as Ants and Tomorrowland hosting their sell-out parties there, we always recommended booking in advance. Along the beach from Ushuaïa you’ll find other fantastic venues, such as Tanit and Nassau. All providing daytime chill vibes, and afternoon dancing.
The Hotels
Whilst the hotels in Playa d’en Bossa are a little more expensive than some of its neighbouring resorts, it is worth the money spent.
You’re within easy reach of Hï and right by one of the best beaches on the island.
There are many 5 star breaks available here. From the legendary Ushuaïa Hotel and Hard Rock, to the stunning Grand Palladium. All offering an excellent service and luxury experience. Book a spa day within the hotels grounds, or a day trip around the island with a private chauffeur.
These are just some of the many services your hotel can offer, with their dedicated concierge team.
The Restaurants
Everyone loves good food, and thankfully the area is great for fantastic places to eat. From pocket-friendly spots to fine-dining. All a short stroll away. For healthy eating goodness we recommend Passion Cafe. A gorgeous little lunch-spot to spend the afternoon. From protein shakes to bagels. Yummy!
For the full Mediterranean experience on the sand then head to Beachouse. Serving a range of stunning, fresh, local dishes straight to your table. There’s so many good places to pick, we’d be here all day if we named them all! Have a wander and try some for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
So there you have it, some highly-tempting reasons to pack your bags, and book that holiday!
See you soon in Ibiza!
